Bestiary

A sticker book of every creature in the game. Beat one and its card fills in permanently.

Where to find it

In the game the dex is the Bestiary tab of the Account screen, with the Discovered N / M count shown on the tab itself. It used to have its own start-screen button; that was folded into the Account screen.

How discovery works

  • There are 26 creatures in the dex — 13 mobs and 13 bosses.
  • A creature is discovered the first time you defeat it, and the wave you did it on is recorded with it.
  • In co-op, discovery is recorded per player — everyone who was in the fight collects it.
  • Discovery is saved locally and to the cloud, so it moves with your account.
  • The header shows Discovered N/26.

What a card shows

StateThe card
DiscoveredThe creature’s portrait, its in-game name, its formal name, the wave you first beat it on, and a one-line fun fact. Cyan border.
UndiscoveredA near-black silhouette and “???”. Muted border.

Cards are laid out in a scrollable two-column grid in a fixed order, so the gaps are always in the same place.

Two names per creature

Every creature has an in-game name and a formal name. The in-game name is what you see while playing — boss HP bars read “Spike King”, not “Moloch”, and the start screen’s enemy showcase uses it too. The formal name — Moloch, Periplaneta, Eriosomatinae, Pithecophaga and the rest — is the species line on the Bestiary card.

Both names work here

Throughout this wiki each creature is written with its in-game name first and the formal name alongside, and the search box matches either. The boss chart lists both, since waves are usually discussed by the formal name.
