Redeem Codes

PewBeat can hand out ships and gold through codes. This page explains how to enter one and what happens when you do — it is not a list of codes.

No codes here

This wiki does not publish codes. Watch wherever the game is announced for them — this page only covers the mechanism, so that when you have a code you know exactly what to do with it.

Where to enter a code

  1. Open the Shop from the start screen.
  2. Find the small two-line Redeem Code button in the top-right, just left of the close ✕.
  3. Type the code into the dialog and confirm.

The result appears in the dialog straight away. On success your wallet updates immediately and the Shop refreshes behind it, so prices re-evaluate and a newly unlocked ship appears in the carousel without reopening anything.

The two kinds of code

KindWhat it givesHow often
Ship codeUnlocks a premium ship for free, at level 1 — including ships that cannot be bought with gold at any price, like the Flying Sky Whale.Once — owning the ship is the used state
Gold codeAdds a fixed amount of gold to your wallet.Once per account, tracked explicitly

A ship code needs no separate tracking: entering one twice simply tells you the ship is already unlocked. A gold code has no natural one-shot state, so the game records every gold code you have used and refuses it the second time.

Rules

  • Case does not matter. Type a code however you like — matching is case-insensitive.
  • Spelling does. Codes are matched exactly otherwise, and a single extra letter can be a completely different code rather than a typo of the one you meant.
  • A gold code pays once per account, not once per device. See Codes and your account.
  • Redeeming saves immediately. You do not need to finish a run for the reward to stick.
  • A code cannot unlock a boss-reward ship. Horridus, Flammenwerfer and Einfrieren come only from beating their wave-100 bosses — see Unlocking ships.

What the dialog tells you

MessageMeaning
+N gold!A gold code worked. The amount is already in your wallet.
Code already redeemed.A valid gold code that this account has used before. It will never pay again.
Invalid code. Not a code the game knows. Check for typos — and remember an extra character makes a different code.
Ship unlockedThe ship is now yours at level 1 and is immediately selectable in the Room.

Codes and your account

Used gold codes are stored with your save locally and in the cloud, in lockstep with your gold. That has three consequences worth knowing:

  • Linked devices share the list. Redeeming on your phone means your desktop cannot redeem the same code again.
  • An account transfer carries it. Loading a save onto a new device brings both the gold and the record of which codes produced it, so a transfer is not a way to double up. See Account & Saves.
  • Reset Progress clears the list. A reset wipes your gold as well, so re-redeeming after one puts you back where you started rather than ahead.
Redeem before you shop

Gold codes pay a flat amount regardless of your progress, so they are worth the most early — when the same gold buys dozens of upgrade levels rather than a fraction of one Shop item.
